The International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) is seeking an Agricultural Economics Post-doctoral Fellow (PDF)
for the Cereal Systems Initiative for South Asia (CSISA). The PDF will seek to enhance the understanding of the micro-level constraints
to rapid productivity growth and adoption of resource conserving technologies around eight research hubs in intensive cereals systems
across South Asia, an activity which aims to contribute to enhanced technology targeting and improved policies for inclusive agricultural
growth. The PDF will, thereby, help identify hub specific technology needs and opportunities, system components, and combinations
that best meet farmers’ livelihoods for increasing overall impact. The PDF will be posted to CIMMYT’s New Delhi office and will be
expected to work throughout the northern South Asia region (particularly India, Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh). The appointment will
be for a period of three years. The closing date is 31 March 2009.
