SNF Project - In memory of Winnie Makumbi

Urban Harvest wish to add to the many tributes that have been paid in recent weeks to Winnie Makumbi, who has died at the age of 40. Winnie was a former member of the Kampala City Council and was the first woman chair of Kampala's Lubaga division. She was a great advocate and supporter of urban agriculture as a means of raising the living standards and aspirations of the urban poor in Uganda. She will be sorely missed by family, friends and colleagues.
